Antigo, meaning rose-gold, refers to the red, clay rich soils found on the North-eastern slopes of the Estate. Compared to the Table Mountain sandstone and Granite on our other Cabernet vineyards, the grapes from the Antigo block produce wines with more plush, elegant fruit aromatics. The clay and coolness of the site also reduces stress and therefore creates tannins which are softer, sweeter, and more integrated. The blend is driven by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot adding complexity and depth
