The Waterford Estate Restaurant invites guests to experience a thoughtful celebration of seasonal South African ingredients, shaped by the estate’s philosophy of craftsmanship, authenticity, and a deep connection to place. Complemented by our award-winning wines, every meal is designed to create moments of discovery, connection, and enjoyment. To avoid disappointment, please book in advance. A service fee of 10% will apply to groups of 8 or more. Tasting Room bookings are available daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with extended summer hours from Monday to Saturday until 19:00. Our restaurant operates from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:30 and 15:00. For our summer extended hours, our platter service is from Monday to Saturday 16:00 to 18:00.

Meet the chefs behind our culinary journey
At the helm of SALT are Executive Chefs Craig and Beau - a duo of culinary talents dedicated to delivering a remarkable dining experience. Craig's 36-year career across Southern Africa led him to embark on a new adventure in 2019, driven by his passion for collecting salts, which became the foundation of SALT's innovative culinary vision. Chef Beau, inspired by his Michelin-star experience in Thai cuisine, brings a dynamic edge to The SALT Road. His expertise in curing, brining, smoking, and fermenting adds complexity to every dish, showcasing the finest locally sourced ingredients. Together, Craig and Beau offer hyper-seasonal menus that reflect a philosophy of maximising every ingredient, ensuring that each dish is a celebration of flavour and quality.
